Let's Sew a Quilted A5 Journal Cover

Updated: Jun 25, 2023

The A5 Quilted Journal Cover is a great beginner project where you will do some quilting and make and apply double bias binding. The cover was designed to fit an A5 Journal which measures approximately 5.75" Wide x 8.25" High and 1" Deep. The cover also has an elastic closure and pen holder. The interior sleeves that holds the journal in place can also accommodate sticker sheets. The journal in the video is made from100% Cotton Quilting fabric from the Tula Pink Collection called Curiouser and Curiouser. I used fold-over elastic for the closure and pen loop.

To make the Journal Cover, please download the free PDF Template below.

I also have a YouTube video demonstrating how to make the Journal Cover step-by-step.
